DONAK SMART HEALTH (EMR)

The design of DONAK SMART HEALTH EMR is structured in-line with the activities performed at the various hospital service points. The system is integrated with all the desired handshakes needed to ease the sharing of patients’ health information between the various service points. The concept aims at avoiding undue duplication of databases and data entry operations in the system. There are adequate and ultramodern security and control features embedded in the software modules to check possible mistakes and abuse by operators of the system. There are levels of authorisation, and each level is designed in line with the usual manual security and control procedures.

DONAK HOSPITAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Each of the software modules has the functions performed within its area of operation optimally and completely under its control with all the checks and balances effectively in place. As managers in a business environment, they have facilities that maintain the handshakes between departments/units in performing their daily functions. DONAK Hospital Account Manager (DHAM–2021tm) streamlines the operations of any Organisation and makes storage and retrieval of information timely and effective.

ORGANISATION

DONAK is organized into six divisions

Consultancy Services Division

The Consultancy Services Division is solely responsible for guiding and directing clients wishing to move the processing of their Management Information System from manual to partial or complete automation using computer related systems.
The range of services rendered in this division includes among others:  Conduction of Feasibility Studies  Systems Analysis  System Design  Sourcing of Suitable Application Packages (where need be)  Computer Hardware and Software Specification, Procurement and Installation  Computer Site (Wireless and Wired Networks) Specifications and Preparation  Assisting clients in resolving operational problems in data preparation, data control, data entry and data conversion/transfer from one environment to another etc.  Documentation and implementation of computer standards and procedures  Structured review of existing computer resources and strategies with a view to optimizing the use of both human and material resources provided.  Project management and control strategy (planning MIS Implementation strategies for clients including procedures for converting manual files to computer files) as detailed below.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL STRATEGY

Our approach in implementing computer projects for clients ensures that the relevant client’s staff at all levels are carried along from the start to the end of the project. The advantage in this is that we end up giving our clients, computer systems that meet their requirements and which they happily support, because they were involved at all stages of the project. In implementing a clients’ computerisation project, our first step will be to get staff involved in the relevant units and Management committed to a successful execution of the project. We try to achieve this by setting up two committees for effective monitoring and control of the project. The two committees are the Computer Project Steering Committee and Computer Project Working Committee. Finally, we will present a tentative implementation plan for the project for discussion. Once approved by management, DONAK will ensure that all concerned (DONAK and Clients) shall keep to targets dates set in the approved implementation plan.

Software Development and Maintenance Division

The division is charged with the responsibility of developing, customising and implementing software applications required by clients. The range of services includes among others:  Customize DONAK software packages to meet client’s specification if need be.  Writing of Functional Specifications for the software to be developed and customised  Design and specification of the system flow  Programming and Testing  System link test  Staff training and implementation support services as detailed in A4.  Documentation of the users’ manual covering; data Preparation, data control, operations/data entry guide etc. The division also handles development work on various operating systems, compilers environment and web programming stacks namely;  Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Node JS, Python, SQL, Oracle etc.)  Phone Application development (React Native)  Various versions of WINDOWS operating system  SCO UNIX  Visual FoxPro etc.

Engineering Support Services Division

Our Engineering Support Services Division takes responsibility of providing Computer System Software, Computer hardware/peripherals and Computer Network Support Services to clients. DONAK engineers design Structured Computer Communication Cabling Network System for clients to meet their peculiar processing requirements in either Local or Wide Area Network environment. The company also handles wireless network systems for clients and carries out installation of computer systems software and hardware/peripherals purchased from DONAK or from third party vendors. We provide on-going engineering support services for computer hardware and structured cabling computer networks. We maintain a large amount of spare parts inventory for servicing installed computer hardware/peripherals and structured cabling computer network equipment. This is to improve the response/repair time of our engineers. A repair centre also exists for repairing most of the faulty parts. Our engineers maintain a site log to crosscheck any report of lack of proper response time.

User Staff Training and Skill Transfer Division

The introduction of computer systems in organisations usually entails a redefinition of functions performed by some of the members of staff in line with the new computer procedures and controls. At times it involves re-organisation of staff within the establishments and external recruitment of some highly skilled and specialized staff. This clearly indicates that computerization project in an organisation should not just end with the installation of necessary computer hardware and software. It requires that the consultant proposes a good training and skill transfer plan to ensure continuity in the use of the computer system after the consultant has withdrawn his services. DONAK provides a comprehensive training and skill transfer program as detailed below for all levels of staff in the use of the installed application software packages. The training covers data preparation, data control, data entry, system operation and control.

Admin/Accounts Division and Marketing Division

This is a service division which attends to the welfare of staff and performs other services necessary for the smooth running of the organisation.
Customer Base DONAK has worked closely with the market through the provision of computer services to many respected organisations in Teaching Hospitals, government, insurance, manufacturing and financial sectors.
Staff in this division are responsible for marketing DONAK products/services. They are also charged with the responsibility of ensuring that customers’ goodwill is maintained at all times. This they achieve by paying routine visits to existing customers to get their feelings on the quality of services being provided by DONAK Technical Staff. DONAK management gives high regard to customers’ goodwill. A negative feeling by any of our customers is viewed seriously by management and is promptly attended to his satisfaction.
